There is a difference between losing a cat in the house and losing a dog in a park, and it decides which of these you want. The Bluetooth tag is small, light and pairs with your phone over short range. The GPS tracker is waterproof and reports a real location over a network, which is what you need when the distance could be a suburb rather than a room.

Both are only as good as the collar they are on, so check the fit before you rely on either. A tracker that comes off with the collar has told you where the collar is.
